"Aztec" refers to the Aztec people who dominated central Mexico in the early sixteenth century. The majority of Aztec art compositions were formed utilising these pattern elements from their civilization, and the patterns were made using geometric shapes.
Although the body's shape is altered when you rotate a square or a rectangle to create a diamond shape, the core remains the same.
